My new and improved colletion.

My collection now includes an Aqua Saffiano (personal size), Teal Calipso (Compact size), Bright Blue Calipso (Compact size), Bright Blue Calipso (A5 size), Malden Zip Navy (Compact size) , Electric Blue Domino (Personal size), Violet Domino (personal size) and Patent Purple Original (personal size).

Now I just need an Original in Navy, perhaps in Dark Aqua too, a pink Calipso and then I'll start on the Van Der Spek custom dream planners I've been thinking of.
Hmm, a lottery win wouldn't be a bad thing right about now.

Calipso "Bright Blue" vs Essie "Aruba Blue"

The thing about buying filofax planners online is that you're very dependant on how your computer screen shows the color. Is it the true color of the filofax or is it a bit lighter or a bit darker? Well, someone asked me if the blue Calipso was really that blue and i tried to come up with a way to show just how bright blue it is.
I ended up using my Essie nail polish bottles as a color referance. It was the only blue i had that would match and that also is available online and therefore would give a good color reference.

Sorry for the overload of blue, but this is the best way I can think of to show you just how bright the blue is.

Calipso A5 Review

My pretty new Calipso A5 filofax in Bright Blue.

I ordered it from filofax.co.uk and it arrived within a few days, love the quick delivery!
Now it came in a white box with a white cotton/paper bag wrapped around it. The binder itself was wrapped in plastic like the ones you'd see in the store.
I was so excited i ripped the packaging apart and therefor cannot show you a picture of it.
This is how my new beauty looks like (no flash on the left and flash on the right).

What the back looks like.

Inside looks like this (I've put in a new front page, the one shown is not the one it comes with).

This is the front page and dividers that came with the binder.

Supplied with a week on two pages columns.
It says supplied with a 2013 diary, but i was surprised to find you get the 2014 diary too.

On the right side there is a zipped pocket on the inside. I'm not so sure if I like this or not, I think I'd rather have the notepad to jot down important stuff. But i still love the Calipso.

Here you can see the difference between a big pen and a filofax pen.
The elastic pen loop fits them both, although the bigger pen as quite thick and is a bit of a hassle to get in and out easily.

As you can see it lies pretty flat. Flat enough for me anyway.

Closed with the big pen in the pen loop.

And then a picture of my A5 Calipso with her little sister the Compact Calipso in Teal.

New dividers for my A5 Calipso

I start with the paper i want to use, a pencil and a divider in the correct size (in this case one of the original ones from my Calipso Filofax).

Trace around the divider and inside the punched holes.

Notice in the above picture where the original tab was.

I'm making top dividers for these ones so i'll just continue the cut line all the way.

Now for the next step. Making the divider tabs. You'll need the pencil, the divider you're working on and a tab (I use the dividers from the pocket to make the tabs since i want my tabs a little bit smaller than the original A5 tabs).

Place the tab where you'd like it and trace it with the pencil.

Now you'll need a paper cutter and/or scissors.
Cut around the tabs cutlines and along the sides til you get your divider.

One almost finished divider with top tab.

Punch holes.

And Voila!
